I think I already mentioned that I absolutely love Valentine’s Day! I had no plans for today besides work, but still woke up really happy and smiley. I was even EARLY for work today (go me). I am going to spend my day working and then seeing a movie called War Horse with a friend. In honor of Valentine’s Day I thought I would share one of my favorite Valentines Day Songs!
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, people are starting to think about gifts (hopefully). I think a common misconception is that gifts for Valentine’s Day need to be over the top and expensive. Now, while it is nice to get something expensive, a lot of people are on budgets and don’t necessarily have disposable income to spend on extravagant gifts. But not having a lot of money is not an excuse to do NOTHING for Valentines Day. There are lots of inexpensive ways to show people that you care. As I write this, I hear the voices of people in my head complaining about Valentine’s Day being “so commercial” and that “you should show people you care everyday and not wait for a holiday to show your appreciation,” now, while I respect those opinions, I still absolutely love the holiday (ha!). If you and your significant other have decided not to celebrate the holiday, I say more power to you, but if you are celebrating the day, check out some inexpensive gift ideas below.
